Thanks Becca :-) I spy some MPK textures Absolutely... I'd have never tackled this monster without some really flexible parking lot system...

Normally I'm not too fond of enormous models like that... but dressed up like this, it looks great! Really great! And that new passenger station... where can I get that? I can't recall seeing it anywhere

woah, where did you get that Well, I pulled a lot of different things together to make this CBD - which I worked on something like two months (on and off, naturally)... Here is a quick breakdown of the components - The megalot main buildings (Sears, JC Penny, Liverpool, Cinepolis etc.) are from the 'LBT Plaza Mall'. The smaller businesses around it (Wendy's, Sonic, McDo, Hard Rock, Pizza Hut etc.) are from the 'Kevdan25' set. The 'Media Market' is a model from Oppie. The pieces outside the megalot are models from various BATters (Pegasus, Bandito, SparkyThePenguin, OddFromSweden, JBSimio, MadHatter) - many of them I relotted / modded and made them into (ploppable) COM. My collection of signage for about 30 companies... plus a host of other things like Becca's new MPK textures and props, some of my custom textures, various prop packs (MTP, SG01, Porkissimo)... and probably some other stuff I can't think of right now ;-)) The Megalot is 20x16 and provides about 1450 CS$$$ jobs. The rest of the CBD adds about 500 more, mixed CS$ to CS$$$. Needs a lot of power and water, produces mucho garbage... The workers all come from the RES$$$ in the south. The whole idea behind it was to see if I can get a very modern 'Mall' integrated into a rather rural setting... Normally I'm not too fond of enormous models like that... but dressed up like this, it looks great! Really great! Thanks :-) ... Well, I don't think I'll ever do another Megalot either - they're a pita to work with But I wanted to try it out at least once (I even maxed out on the props at one point, which really had me tearing my hair before I realized what's happening) ... So it's okay for a CJ, but you wouldn't want to publish this - with all the deps it probably weighs 40 or 50 Mbyte... And that new passenger station... where can I get that? I can't recall seeing it anywhere Not surprising, I didn't release it ;-P ... And I'm not sure if I should... as it's part of the CJ megalot project, I took no prisoners - meaning it's rich (very rich) on dependencies (it's a set of three stations (small, medium, freight). But I'll show it later...

I understand all concepts of your mall set up except for one: the parking lots. How are you making those? Also, where can I find your park paths with umbrella's, etc...and all that other fun stuff?
Hey Guest! Why so serious?

the parking lots. How are you making those? Hmmm - basically they are just overlay textures. So I place them where desired, and TE the entrances... The only special thing here is that I... ahem... beta-tested the (not yet released) new textures and props from Becca's upcoming MPK set... which I got my (greedy little) hands on early because I lotted them ;o)) where can I find your park paths with umbrella's, etc...and all that other fun stuff? Not so sure what exactly you mean? The red, blue and green umbrellas? Those are props from the MTP Super Pack... yeah, I use them frequently, wherever I need a little chill-out-corner ... but paths with umbrellas? Where did you see those?

Parking Lots: Patience...got it...haha
Extra bit I was talking about: What are you using in order to make the sidewalks/walking areas for that mall? Is it a path set?

What are you using in order to make the sidewalks/walking areas for that mall? Is it a path set? Well - it's the same principle... * First you lay out the base texture - here: the large red brick, texture from MTP Super Pack. * Then you put an overlay on top - here: green grass with small brown 'ledges'... I just reused the overlay textures I made for the 'White Sands Park' (you might remember that)... So, yes - it's pretty much like building a path, but instead of laying out lots of little lots you lay out lots of little textures ;-))

Wonderful new pics! This megalot looks great. ALL your special lots looks great...
I see the new multi-building lots from T Wrecks. I think they fit perfectly in a mountain landscape like this.

Thanks :-) I see the new multi-building lots from T Wrecks. I think they fit perfectly in a mountain landscape like this. Yep... and they are great for a tight spot like this - I mean I needed sufficient $$$ housing for ~1500 $$$ jobs, and those upgraded well and easy.

As always, beautiful and imaginative work! I especially like, for some reason, the smallish brown-roofed building with the kiosk plopped in front of it. I thought that looks absolutely beautiful in your city. The megamall lot, too, is incredible. I downloaded that mall too but have not used it; relotting it like that is sheer genius.
