Hi Paeng. Took your advice and now find myself in the midst of a BIG job. Though I had recently downloaded endless tantalising content, most of it remained unzipped and waiting for the right region. So I decided I should sort through everything from the start, parceling it all out into individual theme folders that I can load with their matching region. So far, I have the exact same idea about the basic plugins which stay ingame. Apart from that, I have separate folders called N. America, Old Europe, UK & Australia, Rural & Mountain, and Medieval. I'm also thinking of a theme folder for PEG's Utopia, OWW2 and whatever else that might round that out. I just dump what I need into each folder, even if it means copying over dependencies. The biggest job is getting the latest updated versions with the appropriate, valid support files only - a lot easier said than done. But it's better now than having to seek and destroy old plops in cities. I figure another week or two of this and I'll finally be able to start building cities again! I also like what Tamorr said about dat packing, though I think I would do it only for individual bat folders. Some have a dozen or more files in them. All in all, this is really putting my organisational skills to the test.

I can imagine :-) Still got a !ยง$&$!-load of stuff that wants to be 'classified' and 'organised' myself ...
And every day more phantastic stuff coming in.  :faint:

Just remember - keep your 'Basic_Plugs' as tight and clean as possible (beware of Installers!), as you can always start a new tile with that and still get some nice development going before throwing in lots of extras.

Well, it's been some time, due to being sidetracked by learning some basics about LE, Reader and Co. and making some lots. But on the side I've always been working on my industrial areas and a rather large harbor.

So here is a long overdue update of the industrial sort ...

You mean this one?

Well, that's just the good old freightstation (SG I think), enhanced with some brandnew cool filler lots by ... by .. by ... hmmm ...*grin* ...

Just to show they don't work along the waterfront only  :rockon

oh yes, my standard to prevent sims from stumbling onto the rails ;-)

They are simply called 'BSC Hedges', should find them on Stex ...
Very useful little set, also to transition between clashing texture, i.e. high$ to low$ grass, concrete to wilderness etc.

yeah probablly so.... SG does make soem pretty good stuff... The Stations that I have use the Coal Wharf prop and that one is a crane for hmmmm.... I might be mistaken I haven't played the game in a very long time... I do use those stations... So definately is why familiar to me....

And it is good to see them used else beyond the waterfront, although those ones are the RCI Fences, as the actual ones I call Fillers you can't put anywhere else except the habor... being water lots n all meant for the CDK3. :)

Anyways Nice to see em' use and great screenys, I prolly should figure on another anti-virus program about now as my last decided to quit early..... No worries I had a back up.....kinda'.... :)

Small Naval Base

Across the bay, opposite the commercial harbor, sit an old naval base and a coastguard station. The base handles lots of cargo to maintain and supply ships of the fleet, like the Equinox, enroute to maneuvers. And of course there is some nearby R'n'R for the boys...

Interesting stuff.

Is that graffiti on a seawall?

No, it's bird poo spread in an artistic way, and the red colour comes from the birds being killed. Of course it's graffiti! Water-resistant and probably placed during the construction of the concrete slab which forms the seawall.

Korot
