Ah! I spy the little 1x1 LBT generator! Yup it is a good one that one. yeah, that one and the little grey hut, that doesn't need road access ... village battery or so ... ...and I see you have that crazy guy in his jet boat that hoons in and out of the marina moorings at the rate of knots! Well, he's not bad, at least he's fast *grin* ... but I hate those katamarans, that ever so slowly weave their way through buildings, ships and anything else, they even creep into really tight spots , i.e. between a pier and a cliff with barely half a tile space. I read a tip recently how to detour these guys, but forgot where...

Most if not all water automata tend to steer towards deeper waters, so if you have the sea bed, just under the areas you do not want them, a bit higher, they will usually avoid it.

Cool tip, I'll try that out ... Thanks! I'm usually scared though to raise ground below water - one touch too near land and you could flatten whole neighborhoods

CTRL - X
setsealevel 20
water is gone, little to no damage to city (only power lines are usually affected)
when done with sea bed adjustments, save and exit to region, then return to city.
DO NOT, and I stress this, do not plop any coastal lots while the water is gone.
Some time beach lots will need to be reploped afterward.

Neat trick, can't wait to see how that works out, on a test city of course.
Be a mirror, reflect what is and that is all that is.

"Well, hurricane 'Dependicitia' left behind irreparable damage..." I thought hurricane names were only used once.... but Hurricane Dependicitia seems to hit my Sim Nation on a fairly regular basis.... , which is why I believe I'll never complete a city, never mind a region. After seeing MountainView... and your tutorial on placing ploppable water, flora, rocks etc.... Hurricane Dependicitia hit again... Thanks for the inspiration, I look forward to each update! No its hits every where in SimNation. It took out The Marquette Area just a few months ago.

CanalettoHarvesting the Big River Since the river splits into various arms before jumping into our valley, we decided to catch each arm using the ARS-technology. The steepest one offered itself as a perfect place to set up a small hydro dam, supplementing our powersupply. All government agencies work hand in hand to monitor the quality and distribution of all the water. The goal is to make Canaletto the main water-supplier for the whole region. Our citizens are supplied with the best possible drinking water, fresh and clean. Industry is supplied with ample fresh water, while all their waste-water is channeled into a complex purification-facility. Thanks to the Mayor of 'Deep River' for the inspiration! *Better image on Page 10!*CWM (Canaletto Water Mutual) has set up its regional headquarters, ready to strike a deal with any interested neighbor. Security for the industrial district and the expensive ARS is at a high level. Naturally, Canaletto-Sims love everything to do with water :-) Comfortable medium wealth neighbourhoods for content Sims. A little museum/library-complex, and another public pool, of course ;-) Just for orientation, here is an overview of the whole town. I'll post some more close-up soon, there are some more interesting angles. I'd just like to get a little more variation in hitech-buildings first ... In one of the next updates I will also show an updated regional view, as it's grown quite a bit... Table of Contents
